How to use the Aplicum Frequency Studio

Using it with your Aplicum Scalar Wave device

You can play any frequency from the studio through your Aplicum Scalar Wave device. Plug the device into your computer or phone with a 3.5 mm aux cable, the same socket you'd use for headphones. Then open the studio on that computer or phone and play a frequency. The sound goes straight to the device.

Before you press play, set your computer or phone volume to a moderate level. Then adjust it to suit your device.

chakra tones

Tap any chakra button to play its frequency right away. Tap the same button again to stop, or tap another chakra to switch. The button with the ring around it is the one playing.

Build your own frequency

1. Base tone. Enter any frequency in Hz, or pick a preset (174, 432, 528, 639, 963). Choose a waveform: sine is the softest and purest, while triangle, square and sawtooth sound brighter. Set the volume with the slider.

2. Layers (optional). Switch on any layer you want to add:

   • Binaural beat: plays a slightly different tone in each ear. Pick a band (delta, theta, alpha or beta) or set the offset yourself. Use headphones, because this effect doesn't work through speakers.

   • Isochronic: turns the tone on and off in steady pulses. Set the pulse rate and depth. Works on speakers too.

   • Second tone: adds another frequency on top of the base tone, to make an interval or chord. Set its frequency and how loud it is in the mix.

3. Amplitude modulation (optional). Press Apply AM to make the sound swell and fade rhythmically. Adjust the rate (how fast), the depth (how strong) and the waveform (how smooth). AM also works on the chakra tones. Press the button again to turn it off.

4. Press Generate to play your frequency, and press Stop to end it. You can change any setting while it plays, and the sound updates after a moment.

Save your frequency

Choose a length and press Export WAV to download the audio file. If the download doesn't start, click Open WAV and save the file from the new tab.

Tips

​

• Start with the volume low and turn it up slowly, especially with headphones.

• Sound only starts after you tap a button. Browsers don't let pages play audio on their own.

• If you hear nothing, check that your device and browser tab aren't muted. The grey line under the buttons shows what's playing, or tells you if something went wrong.

• The studio works best in an up-to-date desktop browser such as Chrome or Safari.
